The first-generation Leapmotor T03 is an A-segment electric hatchback that officially debuted in May 2020 as the brand's second production vehicle and primary entry model. Built on a dedicated small-EV architecture, the T03 features a space-efficient five-door hatchback body with a front-motor and front-wheel-drive configuration. Powertrain options include permanent magnet synchronous electric motors delivering power outputs between 40 kW (54 hp) and 85 kW (116 hp), mated to a single-speed reduction gear transmission. Battery choices range from 21.6 kWh to 41.3 kWh in lithium iron phosphate (LFP) or nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) chemistries, allowing a driving range of up to 403 km under CLTC standards. Interior appointments feature a clean digital dashboard with an 8-inch driver display screen alongside a 10.1-inch central infotainment touchscreen. Standard and available equipment includes a fixed panoramic glass roof, facial recognition entry, over-the-air software updates, and the Leap Pilot driver assistance suite incorporating adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist. The model is manufactured in China as well as assembled in Europe and is distributed across Asian, European, and Latin American markets.
