The first-generation Leapmotor C01 is a mid-size sedan featuring a coupe-like fastback profile, cell-to-chassis battery technology, and both battery electric and range-extended powertrains.

The first-generation Leapmotor C01 is a mid-size sedan produced since 2022 as the brand's executive passenger car offering. Engineered on Leapmotor's modular platform, the C01 holds the distinction of being the first mass-production EV to introduce Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) technology, integrating battery cells directly into the vehicle's floor structure. The sleek four-door sedan body features a fastback roofline and frameless doors for optimal aerodynamics. The vehicle is offered in both pure battery electric (BEV) and range-extended electric (EREV) configurations, the latter introduced for the 2023 model year. BEV variants provide either single-motor rear-wheel drive (200 kW / 272 hp) or dual-motor all-wheel drive (400 kW / 544 hp), paired with battery options from 62.8 kWh to 90 kWh delivering up to 717 km of CLTC range. EREV models adopt a 1.5-liter gasoline generator engine with 30.1 kWh or 43.7 kWh battery options. Power is delivered through a single-speed reduction gear transmission. Interior technology features a T-shaped triple-screen dashboard driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor. Amenities include Nappa leather seating with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, Level 2 Leap Pilot ADAS, panoramic glass roof, and cloud connectivity. The C01 is available in China and international export markets.
