About this generation

The first generation of the carbon-monocoque mid-engine sports car, produced in open roadster and closed-canopy coupe (GT-XR / GT-XA) body styles.

The first generation of the KTM X-Bow is built in Graz, Austria, around a Dallara-engineered carbon-fiber monocoque chassis. Over its production run, the architecture has evolved from minimalist open-top roadsters powered by 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder engines (240–300 hp) to extreme closed-cockpit coupes like the GT-XR and the US-specification GT-XA featuring a jet-fighter-inspired hinged canopy.

In the GT-XR and GT-XA variants, power comes from an Audi-sourced 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine producing 500 hp in standard form, or 592 hp when equipped with the Factory 600 upgrade package, which adds an uprated intake manifold, a new turbocharger, and a larger intercooler. High-speed downforce is further optimized by the Evo aerodynamic kit with a sharper front splitter, wheel canards, and fender louvres.

For the 2026 update, the X-Bow lineup gained a 7.0-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, alongside traditional folding side mirrors supplementing the camera-based rear-view system. The American-market GT-XA adds adjustable compression and rebound damping suspension, a front-axle lift system, tire-pressure monitoring, and bespoke interior appointments.
