The Kia Ray subcompact micro-MPV (TAM) launched in late 2011 exclusively for South Korea. Built on Picanto mechanics with a 3,595 mm length and 2,520 mm wheelbase, its standout feature is an asymmetrical body: traditional hinged doors on the driver's side and a rear sliding door with no B-pillar on the passenger side. This generation of the Ray (TAM) was in production since 2011 and offered in хэтчбек body styles. Built on an engineered platform, it features strong structural rigidity, refined aerodynamics, and advanced occupant safety engineering. The generous wheelbase and clever interior packaging ensure superior passenger accommodation and ergonomic comfort for long travel.
Engines feature a 1.0-liter Kappa 3-cylinder petrol unit (78 hp), an LPG Bi-Fuel option, and the Ray EV—Korea's first mass-produced EV (67-87 hp, 16.4-35.2 kWh battery, up to 205 km range).
