The third-generation Kia Picanto (JA) debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in early 2017. Built on a revised lightweight platform with doubled high-strength steel content, it delivered superior torsional rigidity and safety. While keeping the overall length at 3,595 mm, the wheelbase stretched to 2,400 mm by shortening the front overhang. Offered exclusively as a 5-door hatchback, it gained sharp character lines, LED daytime running lights, and a high-tech cabin with a floating touchscreen. This generation of the Picanto (JA) was in production since 2017 and offered in хэтчбек body styles. The JA generation underwent two major facelifts: in 2020 with revised lighting and an automated manual transmission, and in 2023 with an aggressive front redesign following Kia's Opposites United philosophy.
