Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2011, the second-generation Kia Picanto (TA) featured a bold new exterior designed under the direction of Peter Schreyer, incorporating the brand's iconic Tiger Nose grille. For the first time, a 3-door hatchback variant with sportier bumper styling was offered alongside the core 5-door model for European buyers. Dimensions expanded to a length of 3,595 mm and a wheelbase of 2,410 mm, significantly improving rear legroom and cargo capacity. This generation of the Picanto (TA) was produced from 2011 to 2017 and offered in хэтчбек body styles. Built on an engineered platform, it features strong structural rigidity, refined aerodynamics, and advanced occupant safety engineering.

Power came from modern Kappa-family petrol engines, including a 1.0-liter three-cylinder (69 hp) and a 1.2-liter four-cylinder (85 hp). A factory Bi-Fuel variant powered by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was also offered in selected markets. A 2015 mid-cycle facelift brought redesigned front and rear bumpers, fresh fog lamps, updated interior cabin trim, larger front brake discs, and modern safety tech enhancements. The powertrain lineup features modern engines optimized for thermal efficiency, balancing responsive acceleration with economical fuel consumption. Power is delivered through reliable manual or automatic transmissions.
