Jaguar C-Type I (C-TYPE) gallery (1951–1953)

The company's first purpose-built race car for Le Mans.

The C-Type, or XK120C, was developed for Le Mans and triumphed by winning the race in its very first year of entry. A lightweight tubular frame and streamlined aluminum body ensured excellent performance. This model proved that Jaguar could create cars combining beauty and incredible efficiency on the track, foreshadowing the brand's glory in the fifties.
