The second generation of the Isuzu D-Max was released in 2011, bringing substantial improvements in aerodynamics, safety, and cabin comfort. The vehicle retained its robust frame architecture and off-road capabilities while introducing new powertrains. Initially, the lineup included 2.5-liter and 3.0-liter turbo diesel engines. During a major facelift in 2015, the model received an advanced 1.9-liter turbo diesel producing 150 hp, paired with modern 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions. The truck was officially marketed in various global regions including parts of Europe and Russia with extended and double cabs. The main sales markets remained Southeast Asia, Oceania, and South Africa, where the pickup earned a solid reputation as a reliable workhorse.
