Featuring body styling inspired by the HCD-II concept and suspension fine-tuned with Porsche, it offered 1.6L and 2.0L Beta engines. A 1999 facelift (RD2) brought quad headlights. Throughout its production run, the I (RD) established a strong reputation for powertrain efficiency, passenger comfort, and structural reliability.
