Honda Jazz I (GD) gallery (2001–2008)
The first-generation Honda Jazz subcompact hatchback (European sibling of the Fit) was produced from 2001 to 2008.
The first-generation Honda Jazz (GD) premiered in late 2001 as the European and Asian market designation for the Honda Fit. It shared identical mechanical architecture, including the center fuel tank location under the front seats and versatile Magic Seats.
Powertrains for Europe highlighted 1.2-liter L12A (78 hp) and 1.4-liter L13A (83 hp) i-DSI engines, alongside a 1.5-liter VTEC unit (110 hp). Transmissions included a 5-speed manual and a CVT with 7-speed sequential paddle shift modes. A 2004 facelift updated bumper designs, indicators, and interior fabrics.
