The second-generation Honda HR-V (RU) debuted in late 2013 (marketed as the Vezel in Japan). It featured a coupe-like roofline with concealed rear door handles and leveraged the center fuel tank structure to offer standard Magic Seats.
Powertrains included a 1.5-liter (130 hp), a 1.8-liter R18Z (141 hp), and a sporty 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo (182 hp). Hybrid versions utilized the i-DCD dual-clutch system. A 2018 refresh updated the front grille chrome wing, added full LED headlights, and expanded Honda Sensing availability.
