Holden Tigra I (XC) gallery (2005–2007)

The Holden Tigra (XC series) was marketed across Australia from late 2005 through 2007 as a specialized two-door, two-seater retractable hardtop roadster based on the Opel Tigra TwinTop. Built by French coachbuilder Heuliez on the GM Gamma platform (shared with the Opel Corsa C / Holden Barina), the Tigra featured an electro-hydraulic steel roof mechanism capable of opening or closing in 18 seconds. Even with the roof stowed, it preserved usable luggage capacity, boasting up to 440 liters of cargo volume with the top raised. Under the hood sat a 1.4-liter Twinport Ecotec four-cylinder gasoline engine (Z14XEP) delivering 66 kW (90 hp) and 125 Nm of torque, linked exclusively to a five-speed manual transmission. Standard amenities included 16-inch alloy wheels, four airbags, anti-lock brakes, sport bucket seats, and power convenience equipment. Aimed at buyers seeking an affordable European open-top lifestyle car, the Tigra XC was imported in limited numbers and quietly retired after the 2007 model year.
