The first-generation Haval Xiaolong is a plug-in hybrid compact crossover SUV manufactured by Great Wall Motor since 2023, also marketed internationally as the Jolion Max.
The first generation Haval Xiaolong compact plug-in hybrid crossover SUV was launched in March 2023, originally codenamed A07 during development and exported under the Haval Jolion Max moniker. Constructed on GWM dedicated electrified vehicle architecture, the crossover features a 2,710 mm wheelbase with a sleek aerodynamic front fascia replacing the conventional radiator grille. The plug-in hybrid powertrain integrates a 1.5-liter GW4G15H naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine generating 101 horsepower with a 156-horsepower electric motor, mated to a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission. Combined system output reaches 252 horsepower. Buyers can select between lithium-ion battery packs rated at 9.4 kWh or 19.3 kWh, enabling pure electric WLTP driving ranges of 44 km and 86 km respectively. Inside, the cabin boasts dual widescreen displays, a head-up display, wireless smartphone charging, premium synthetic leather seating, and Level 2 automated driving assistance systems. The Xiaolong is actively marketed in China and global export destinations.
