The first-generation Haval H1 was a subcompact crossover SUV manufactured by Great Wall Motor from 2014 to 2021, serving as an entry-level urban vehicle in global markets.
The first generation Haval H1 subcompact crossover SUV debuted at the 2014 Chengdu Auto Show and remained in production until 2021. Built on a front-wheel-drive B-segment platform with a five-door crossover body, the vehicle provided an elevated ground clearance of 185 mm suitable for urban motoring and light unpaved roads. Power was supplied by a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter GW4G15 inline-four petrol engine delivering 106 horsepower. Transmission choices included a five-speed manual transmission and a six-speed automated manual transmission driving the front wheels. Exterior styling incorporated protective lower body cladding, roof rails, and an aggressive front grille design. The interior featured a digital instrument display, a seven-inch central infotainment touchscreen, air conditioning, synthetic leather upholstery, and rear parking sensors. The model was primarily sold in Mainland China and exported across Southeast Asia, South America, and African territories as a budget-friendly compact crossover.
