The first-generation Haval Chitu is a compact crossover SUV produced by Great Wall Motor since 2021 as the successor to the F5, exported under the Jolion Pro title.
The first generation Haval Chitu compact crossover SUV debuted in April 2021 at Auto Shanghai as the direct replacement for the Haval F5, marketed overseas as the Haval Jolion Pro. Built upon Great Wall Motor LEMON modular architecture with a front-wheel-drive setup, the vehicle features a 2,700 mm wheelbase and sporty exterior styling highlighted by a prominent rear roof spoiler and vertical grille vanes. Petrol variants are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine offered in multiple output levels ranging from 150 to 184 horsepower (codes GW4B15C, GW4G15K, GW4G15M, and GW4B15L), paired with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. A self-charging hybrid HEV model couples a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine with an electric motor to generate a combined 190 horsepower through a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission. Interior equipment includes a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, a digital gauge panel, head-up display, ambient interior lighting, and Level 2 autonomous driver assistance systems. The Chitu is manufactured in China and exported to international markets.
