The Great Wall Sailor pickup was manufactured from 2001 to 2010 as an economical light commercial vehicle. Mechanically derived from Isuzu TF and Nissan pickup platform designs, the Sailor features a heavy-duty steel ladder chassis coupled with a leaf-sprung live rear axle and an independent torsion-bar front suspension. Propulsion was provided by a 2.2-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine (code 491QE) producing 105 horsepower, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Drivetrain options included standard rear-wheel drive and a manual part-time four-wheel-drive system with a dual-range transfer case. Available primarily in a four-door double-cab layout seating five passengers, the vehicle offered a spacious rear cargo bed lined with durable coating.
