The Ford Equator Sport is a two-row mid-size crossover SUV produced by JMC-Ford since 2022 and exported globally as the Ford Territory.
The Ford Equator Sport debuted at the Guangzhou Auto Show in late 2021 and went on sale in China in early 2022. Produced by the Jiangling-Ford joint venture, it serves as a shorter, sportier 5-seat counterpart to the 3-row Equator. In overseas markets across Latin America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, the vehicle is marketed as the second-generation Ford Territory.
Under the hood sits a 1.5-liter EcoBoost turbocharged inline-four gasoline engine rated at 170 hp, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission sending power to the front wheels. A plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant was added in 2024. Interior technology features twin 12.3-inch displays for instrument cluster and infotainment along with Ford Co-Pilot360 driver assist features.
