The Strada (known as the Ritmo in Europe) was designed using new assembly techniques and unusual materials. Its futuristic design with integral bumpers was a bold experiment for Fiat. The car offered a spacious cabin for its time and a wide choice of engines, including efficient diesels. Despite mixed reliability reviews, the model became an important milestone in the brand's search for new forms and solutions for the mass market in the late 70s.
