The Power Wagon was the world's first mass-produced civilian 4WD pickup truck. Its construction was based on military vehicles from WWII, providing incredible durability and off-road capability. This truck became an indispensable tool for work in the toughest conditions. The Power Wagon name became synonymous with reliability and power, and to this day, it is used by Dodge to designate the most off-road-capable versions of Ram pickups.
