The Daewoo Leganza was launched in 1997 as a successor to the Espero, utilizing a proprietary V100 platform. Its distinctive and smooth exterior lines were penned by legendary designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. The vehicle featured transversely mounted gasoline engines ranging from 2.0 to 2.2 liters, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. It offered independent suspension on all four corners for a smooth ride quality. Marketed globally across South Korea, Europe, and North America, the car was also assembled internationally under license in countries like Ukraine and Russia. Production officially ended in 2002, paving the way for the newer Daewoo Magnus model to take its place in the lineup.
