Daewoo Lanos I (T100) gallery (1997–2002)

The first-generation Daewoo Lanos, designated with the factory code T100, was developed with the participation of leading European engineering companies, including the famous Italdesign studio led by Giorgetto Giugiaro, as well as contributions from Porsche and General Motors. The car was offered in sedan and 3- or 5-door hatchback body styles, standing out with a modern aerodynamic design and thoughtful ergonomics. The engine range consisted of petrol engines with a displacement of 1.3, 1.5, and 1.6 liters, paired with a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic. The model gained immense popularity in South Korea, Eastern Europe, and CIS markets due to its optimal price-quality ratio, simple design, and availability of spare parts. Later, licensed production of the vehicle was established at plants in Poland, Russia, and Ukraine, extending its footprint globally.
