An ultra-light and fuel-efficient city hatchback.
The AX was designed with a focus on minimum weight and aerodynamic efficiency, which allowed for record-breaking fuel economy for its time. Despite its tiny dimensions, the car offered surprisingly plenty of space inside and remained very affordable, becoming a true "people's car" in late eighties Europe.
