General Motors executive chief engineer for Corvette Tony Roma confirmed that the automaker remains committed to developing an all-electric Chevrolet Corvette. While Roma emphasized that battery-electric sports cars are the ultimate end game, GM has not set a release date and plans to continue producing combustion V8 and hybrid models alongside the EV.

GM Defense has revealed an unmanned ground vehicle concept built on the Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD chassis with a 100-kWh battery and an 8,000-pound payload capacity. The company plans to prepare a technology demonstrator for Army testing by June 2027.

Chevrolet has introduced major updates for the 2027 Trax and Trailblazer, giving both compact crossovers an 11.3-inch touchscreen with integrated Google Gemini and more than 20 standard safety features. The Trailblazer lineup also welcomes an adventure-focused Z71 trim with standard all-wheel drive and off-road-tuned suspension.

Chevrolet is limiting the Multi-Flex tailgate to just three Silverado 1500 trims for the 2027 model year while increasing its standalone price. The versatile folding setup remains standard only on the ZR2 grade.
