The first-generation Changan UNI-V sports liftback debuted in 2021, featuring a fastback silhouette, an active electric rear wing, and potent iDD hybrid options.
Introduced in late 2021 and released commercially in early 2022, the Changan UNI-V is a five-door sports liftback built on Changan's modular Ark platform. The car stands out with its low-slung fastback profile, frameless front grille, quad exhaust outlets, and an active pop-up electric rear spoiler providing high-speed downforce. Suspension is fully independent with MacPherson front struts and a multi-link rear setup configured for dynamic road handling. Engine choices include a 1.5-liter Blue Whale NE turbocharged petrol engine outputting 188 horsepower with a seven-speed wet DCT, a 2.0-liter turbo delivering 232 horsepower with an eight-speed Aisin automatic, and the UNI-V iDD plug-in hybrid model. The cockpit is styled around a flattened steering wheel, a high-mounted triple digital cluster, integrated sports seats, and a Super Race drive mode button. Safety features include Level 2 driver assistance, adaptive cruise control, and 360-degree cameras.
