The flagship Changan UNI-K mid-size crossover introduced in 2020 features futuristic styling, luxury interior amenities, and advanced iDD plug-in hybrid powertrains.
Unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show in late 2020 and launched in early 2021, the Changan UNI-K serves as the flagship SUV of the brand's UNI line. Measuring 4,865 mm in length with a 2,890 mm wheelbase, it showcases a bold parametric front grille, retractable door handles, and 21-inch alloy wheels. Chassis architecture pairs MacPherson front struts with a multi-link rear suspension, available with BorgWarner Nextrac intelligent all-wheel drive. The conventional powertrain features a 2.0-liter Blue Whale turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 226 horsepower, paired with an eight-speed Aisin automatic transmission. The plug-in hybrid UNI-K iDD variant combines a 1.5-liter turbo engine with an electric motor for over 130 km of pure electric range. The interior boasts an oval steering wheel, a triple-tier digital instrument console set high on the dashboard, Nappa leather seating, Sony audio with headrest speakers, and a massive panoramic roof.
