Changan Lumin I gallery (2022–present)
The first generation Changan Lumin electric city car has been produced since 2022, standing out with its charming rounded styling, high agility, and affordable price tag.
The Changan Lumin micro electric hatchback debuted in April 2022 and went on retail sale in China in June 2022 as a dedicated urban commuter vehicle. Built upon Changan's EPA0 modular electric platform, the three-door hatchback measures 3270 mm long with a 1980 mm wheelbase, showcasing a distinctive neo-retro appearance defined by circular LED light units, flush door handles, and a contrasting roof. The cabin is cleverly designed to accommodate four passengers within its compact footprint. Power comes from a single front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous electric motor producing either 41 or 48 horsepower, limited to a top speed of 101 km/h for city safety. Energy is stored in lithium iron phosphate or ternary lithium battery packs ranging from 12.9 kWh to 28.1 kWh, yielding driving ranges between 155 km and 301 km on the CLTC test cycle, with select versions offering DC fast-charging capability. Interior highlights include a floating 10.25-inch central infotainment touchscreen with smartphone mirror link, a digital instrument cluster, climate control, keyless entry, front airbags, and rear parking sensors. The Lumin is manufactured in China and exported to emerging EV markets across Southeast Asia and Latin America.
