Debuting in 2019, the Changan Hunter mid-size pickup truck (marketed as the Kaicene F70 and Changan Lantop in select regions) was co-developed with Peugeot. Offered in single and double cab configurations, the truck utilizes a rugged ladder-frame chassis with double-wishbone front suspension and a heavy-duty leaf-sprung rear solid axle, carrying payloads exceeding 1,000 kg. Engine choices include a 2.4-liter Mitsubishi turbo petrol unit, a 2.0-liter Isuzu turbo diesel, and Changan's 2.0-liter Blue Whale turbo petrol engine producing 233 horsepower. Transmissions feature six-speed manuals and an eight-speed ZF automatic, coupled to rear-wheel drive or part-time four-wheel drive with low-range transfer gear. In 2024, Changan launched the Hunter REEV featuring an extended-range electric powertrain. The cabin is equipped with dual digital screens, automatic climate control, synthetic leather seats, electronic stability control, and hill descent assist.
