Engineered on a rugged body-on-frame platform, the chassis utilizes double-wishbone front suspension paired with a rigid rear axle suspended by leaf springs or multi-link coils. The vehicle is offered in double-cab 4-door configurations with standard or extended cargo beds. Engine offerings include a 2.0-liter Blue Whale turbocharged gasoline engine producing 233 horsepower, a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine generating 163 horsepower, and a pure electric derivative featuring a 174-horsepower motor powered by a 65 kWh battery pack. Transmission choices encompass a 6-speed manual and an 8-speed ZF automatic. Drivetrain options feature rear-wheel drive or part-time four-wheel drive with low-range reduction and differential locks. The modern cabin presents a dual 12.3-inch curved digital display, leatherette seating, and 360-degree camera systems. The Explorer is exported across Eurasian, Middle Eastern, and South American markets.
