The Cadillac SLS (Seville Luxury Sedan) was produced by the SAIC-GM joint venture in China from 2007 through 2013. Developed as a long-wheelbase derivative of the STS sedan, its wheelbase was stretched by 3.9 inches (100 mm) to maximize rear passenger legroom. The interior featured plush Tuscan leather, genuine wood trim, and power-adjustable heated and massaging rear seats. The exterior design incorporates distinctive body proportions, sharp character lines, and an iconic front grille featuring the brand's emblem. Initial powerplants included 2.8-liter V6, 3.6-liter V6, and 4.6-liter Northstar V8 engines. A major 2010 facelift introduced direct-injected SIDI gas engines including a 2.0-liter turbo producing 262 hp and a 3.0-liter V6 outputting 272 hp, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
