The BYD Xia is a full-size luxury plug-in hybrid minivan introduced in 2024 engineered specifically for high-end executive passenger transport and family travel.
Revealed in late 2024 and launched commercially in early 2025, the BYD Xia is a flagship luxury minivan positioned within the Dynasty product series. Constructed on BYD fifth-generation DM-i platform, it features a heavy-duty chassis architecture with available DiSus-C adaptive suspension. The plug-in hybrid powertrain integrates a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a powerful electric motor driven through an E-CVT system. Power is transmitted to the front wheels or to all four wheels via a dual-motor configuration. The interior accommodates seven passengers in a two-plus-two-plus-three layout, featuring executive second-row captain chairs with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Advanced onboard technology encompasses multiple digital displays, ceiling screens, and DiPilot driver assistance features. The Xia targets premium family and chauffeured executive markets in China and international export regions.
