BYD Tang L I (SR) gallery (2025–present)
The BYD Tang L is a flagship full-size three-row crossover SUV introduced in 2025 offering spacious executive accommodation and high-performance electrified powertrains.
Debuting in early 2025, the BYD Tang L expanded the brand flagship crossover lineup with an extended wheelbase and a versatile three-row interior seating layout. Constructed upon the modular Super e-Platform for pure electrics and DM-i 5.0 architecture for plug-in hybrids, the SUV features a strong safety-optimized body frame. Battery electric models offer single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrains producing extensive horsepower fed by Blade LFP batteries. Plug-in hybrid variants pair a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with electric drive units operating through an E-CVT transmission. Power delivery is managed via front-wheel drive or electronic all-wheel drive setups. The spacious cabin accommodates up to seven occupants with multi-zone climate control, a large rotating infotainment display, panoramic glass roof, and advanced active safety features. The Tang L is distributed in China and exported under various international names including Sealion 8. The model represents a significant engineering achievement for BYD, combining refined driving dynamics, low running costs, and comprehensive safety features across all production trim levels.
