The BYD Song Pro is a versatile compact crossover SUV introduced in 2019 offering traditional internal combustion, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric powertrain configurations.
The first generation BYD Song Pro debuted in 2019 as a strategic expansion of the automakers Dynasty vehicle lineup. Built upon a modular steel unibody platform, the compact crossover was launched with a comprehensive choice of gasoline, plug-in hybrid DM, and battery electric EV powertrains. The conventional ICE version utilizes a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, while plug-in hybrid models later transitioned to BYD highly efficient DM-i technology operating via an E-CVT transmission. Power outputs range from 160 horsepower in entry-level models to higher performance in dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations. The pure electric variant features a lithium iron phosphate battery pack delivering range capability suited for daily commuting. Inside, the cabin features BYD signature rotatable central infotainment display, digital instrument panel, smartphone connectivity, and modern electronic driver assists. The Song Pro is sold extensively in China and exported to international markets across Latin America, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
