BYD Song Plus I gallery (2020–present)
The BYD Song Plus crossover launched in 2020 becoming one of the best-selling vehicles globally in the brand's history across hybrid and electric lines.
The first-generation BYD Song Plus compact crossover SUV debuted in 2020 within the Dynasty Series before transitioning to the Ocean sales network. Built on a front-wheel-drive platform with independent four-wheel suspension, early models featured a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 185 horsepower, which was phased out in 2022. The model line focused primarily on the Song Plus DM-i plug-in hybrid and the Song Plus EV battery-electric versions. In 2023, BYD introduced the Champion Edition refresh introducing Ocean Aesthetics styling updates. The electric variant houses a Blade LFP battery with capacities of 71.8 kWh or 87.0 kWh, providing an electric driving range of up to 605 kilometers. Interior technology includes a rotating 15.6-inch touchscreen, ambient lighting, and the DiPilot safety suite. Across international markets in Europe, Australia, and Asia, the crossover is widely marketed under the BYD Seal U and Sealion 6 names.
