The BYD Sealion 08 full-size flagship crossover SUV premiered in 2026 as the peak model of the Ocean series lineup. Measuring over 5.1 meters in overall length, the five-door SUV showcases marine-inspired exterior styling with flush door handles and aerodynamic body sculpting. Available in pure battery electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) configurations, the hybrid system pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with high-performance electric drive motors. Electric trims feature dual-motor all-wheel drive powered by advanced LFP Blade Battery technology, delivering CLTC ranges up to 900 kilometers and supporting Flash Charging for rapid 9-minute top-ups. The chassis integrates rear-wheel steering and dual-chamber air suspension managed by BYD DiSus body control system. Inside the luxury cabin, configurations include zero-gravity front passenger seats, individual second-row captain chairs, a ceiling-mounted rear entertainment display, and DiPilot 5.0 autonomous driving tech with LiDAR sensors.
