BYD Seal I (EK) gallery (2022–present)

The BYD Seal electric sedan debuted as a core Ocean Series model constructed on the high-tech e-Platform 3.0 architecture with Cell-to-Body structural technology.

The BYD Seal mid-size electric sedan joined the brand's Ocean Series lineup in 2022 under the factory model code EK. Built on BYD's advanced e-Platform 3.0 featuring an 800-volt electrical architecture, it incorporates Cell-to-Body technology where the Blade LFP battery is structural, boosting torsional stiffness. Powertrain choices include single-motor rear-wheel-drive setups developing between 204 and 313 horsepower, as well as a dual-motor all-wheel-drive flagship delivering a combined 530 horsepower. Battery capacities of 61.4 kWh and 82.5 kWh yield an electric driving range of up to 700 kilometers under CLTC standards. The body achieves a drag coefficient of just 0.219. The interior design follows the Ocean Aesthetics concept, featuring a signature rotating 15.6-inch infotainment screen, head-up display, premium audio system, and a panoramic glass roof. The Seal is actively exported across Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.
