The first-generation BYD Seal 08 full-size executive sedan debuted in July 2026 as the new flagship of the Ocean Series. Measuring over 5.1 meters in length, the vehicle is engineered on a modern platform incorporating rear-wheel steering and DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension. The lineup features both a battery-electric version powered by second-generation Blade batteries on an 800V fast-charging architecture and a plug-in hybrid DM-i variant. The top-spec electric all-wheel-drive model produces 684 horsepower, completing the 0-100 km/h acceleration sprint in 3.3 seconds while achieving a range of up to 905 kilometers. The hybrid edition incorporates a 45.4 kWh battery pack providing a combined range of up to 1660 kilometers. The luxurious cabin includes zero-gravity massage seats, a 26-inch augmented reality head-up display, and a concert-grade audio system. The Seal 08 is tailored for global premium electric vehicle markets.
