BYD Qin Pro I gallery (2018–2021)

Debuting in September 2018, the BYD Qin Pro was introduced as an upmarket compact sedan based on the BYD New Architecture platform. The vehicle marked a major stylistic shift for the brand under former Audi design director Wolfgang Egger, featuring the signature Dragon Face front grille flanked by slender LED headlights and a fastback-like roofline. Constructed with a rigid unibody frame, it offered enhanced wheelbase dimensions and aerodynamic efficiency compared to its predecessor. Buyers could select from three powertrain types: a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine delivering 154 horsepower, the Qin Pro DM plug-in hybrid yielding 304 combined horsepower, and the all-electric Qin Pro EV producing up to 184 horsepower with a NEDC driving range reaching 520 kilometers. Gearbox options comprised a six-speed manual and a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Inside the cabin, the centerpiece was a rotating 12.8-inch DiLink touchscreen display accompanied by a digital gauge cluster, adaptive cruise control, and automated emergency braking. Manufactured in Xi'an and Hefei, the Qin Pro was primarily sold in China until it was succeeded by the Qin Plus.
