The BYD Qin Plus is a highly successful compact four-door sedan introduced in 2021 available with advanced plug-in hybrid and battery-electric power systems for global markets.
Introduced in early 2021, the BYD Qin Plus is a compact four-door sedan that evolved from the earlier Qin Pro model line. Utilizing a front-wheel-drive unibody chassis, the sedan is offered in both plug-in hybrid DM-i and fully electric EV configurations. The DM-i variant combines an ultra-efficient 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with an electric traction motor operating via an E-CVT gearbox. The battery electric EV model incorporates BYD Blade LFP battery technology providing driving ranges exceeding 500 kilometers on a single charge. Power is transmitted exclusively to the front wheels. Interior highlights include a rotatable central infotainment screen running DiLink software, digital instrumentation, ambient lighting, and automated safety features. The Qin Plus remains one of the best-selling passenger cars in China while expanding into key export destinations in Latin America, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The model represents a significant engineering achievement for BYD, combining refined driving dynamics, low running costs, and comprehensive safety features across all production trim levels.
