The BYD Qin L mid-size sedan with factory code HA3H entered production in 2024, positioned between the compact Qin Plus and the larger Han sedan. The vehicle showcases a sleek four-door sedan body with aggressive Dragon Face design language, a prominent front grille, and clean side character lines. The hybrid variant, Qin L DM-i, debuted BYD fifth-generation DM-i 5.0 plug-in hybrid technology, combining a 1.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric drive motor and E-CVT gearbox. This setup achieves a combined CLTC driving range exceeding 2000 kilometers with fuel consumption around 2.9 L/100km. Pure electric configurations are also offered under the e-Platform 3.0 Evo architecture. Battery options consist of BYD Blade LFP packs with capacities ranging from 10.08 kWh to 25.28 kWh. The cabin features a rotating 15.6-inch infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, minimalist center console with a crystal gear lever, and smartphone wireless charging pads. Overseas markets sell the model as the BYD Seal 6 DM-i across regions in Asia, the Middle East, and South America.
