The executive BYD Han sedan with body code HC has served as the brand flagship since 2020, featuring cutting-edge Blade Battery power and advanced hybrid powertrains.
First introduced in 2020, the BYD Han executive sedan with the factory model code HC stands as the premier flagship passenger car for the automaker. Built on BYD e-Platform 2.0 for electric variants and the DM hybrid platform for plug-in hybrid models, the car features a sleek four-door body with a fastback silhouette and an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.233. The powertrain lineup includes the pure electric Han EV, available in front-wheel drive single-motor configurations or dual-motor all-wheel drive performance setups delivering up to 380 kW. The plug-in hybrid versions, designated Han DM-i and DM-p, combine a 1.5-liter or 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with electric motors and E-CVT or dual-clutch transmissions. Energy storage is handled by BYD Blade Battery packs ranging from 64.8 kWh to 85.4 kWh, providing a CLTC driving range of up to 715 kilometers for electric models. The interior is appointed with Nappa leather upholstery, genuine wood and aluminum trim, a signature 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen running the DiLink OS, head-up display, and Dynaudio sound system. The model is distributed across China, Europe, Latin America, and Middle Eastern markets.
