A series of BMW race and road cars painted by artists. It began in 1975, when French racer and auctioneer Hervé Poulain asked Alexander Calder to paint a 3.0 CSL for the 24 Hours of Le Mans; Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, David Hockney and others followed.
