Aston Martin Bulldog I (Bulldog) gallery (1979–1980)
A radical concept car with a futuristic wedge design and ambitions for a top-speed record.
The Bulldog was Aston Martin's boldest experiment in the late 70s. Its low, wedge-shaped body with gullwing doors and massive central air intakes looked like a spaceship. The car was powered by a twin-turbo V8 and was designed to reach speeds over 300 km/h. Although the project was shelved due to costs, the Bulldog remains a brilliant example of engineering avant-garde and still captures the imagination with its uncompromising futuristic style.
