Launched in mid-2018 for the 2019 model year, the third-generation Acura RDX (TC1/TC2) was built on an Acura-exclusive unibody platform featuring ultra-high-strength steel structures. The crossover introduced Acura's current design direction centered on the Diamond Pentagon grille and featured a standard panoramic sunroof. Interior technology debuted the True Touchpad Interface paired with an absolute-positioned 10.2-inch infotainment screen. Engineering priorities for this generation focused on structural rigidity, chassis refinement, and elevating active safety capabilities.

Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged K20C4 engine producing 272 horsepower, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and available fourth-generation SH-AWD. A 2022 model year update reduced cabin noise levels, retuned damper response, updated exterior lower fascia elements, and added standard wireless smartphone integration. A comprehensive list of standard features combined with proven powertrain durability helped secure a strong market presence in its segment.
