Volvo S90 and V90 Will Be Available With Polestar Performance Package

The S90 and V90 offerings from Volvo now feature a Polestar performance pack.

The pack is famous as Polestar Performance Optimization. It enhances the aforementioned models to further improvement of driving dynamics. The performance pack appeared on the XC90 model in 2015. The whole powertrain is upgraded thankfully to it. The pack improves throttle and off-throttle response, overall performance of the engine, gear shift and precision.

The kit was constructed in cooperation with the racing drivers of Polestar Cyan Racing and engineers.

The automaker has not revealed the exact specifications, but we know that performance of the XC90 T6 is increased to 330 hp and torque of 325 lb-ft. The pack will be used on the European D5 diesel offerings. It also will be applied on the petrol-powered T6 versions later.

Niels Möller states that the company will go on with the performance enhancement of the first-class SPA car architecture and Drive-E powerplants. The V90 and S90 already have high driving dynamics and the brand wants to raise the performance level further.
