Geneva, Meet Volvo V40 Facelift!
Volvo has stated that its refreshed V40 will be seen at this year’s Swiss auto show.
More than 500,000 sales were registered by the company last year. The automaker is confidently entering the second phase of its transformation trip. The Swedish manufacturer is transforming the whole range. It is getting ready to the global debut of the innovated V90 wagon following the S90 premiere.
The two vehicles take their roots from the SPA (Scalable Product Architecture). They will be accompanied by the upgraded V40. It was acknowledged to be the best-selling Volvo car in the UK. Everybody considered that an innovated V40 will be introduced in 2016. However, it will be refreshed. The car will stay on the market for two more years. Now the model is offered as a rugged Cross Country offering. It will probably receive a facelift soon.
British clients can purchase the cheapest V40 with a 1.6-litre unit with 115 hp and torque of 199 pound-feet. If joined to a regular 6-speed manual transmission, it will return 65 miles per gallon in combined cycle.
Expect first images and specifications about the facelifted V40 on February 24. The official debut will happen on March 1 at Hall 6 of the Palexpo in Geneva.
