Future Volvo XC90 declassified a little
The new generation of the Volvo XC90 full-size crossover will take the exterior look of the Recharge prototype as the basis.
Also, the novelty will be sold in all-electric form as well as in a fuel-powered variation.
According to Autocar, Volvo's upcoming crossover exterior will mimic Volvo Cars' Recharge 2021 concept. The base for the model will be the SPA platform of the second generation. The electro-powered version will be different due to the minimalist design and short body overhangs. Cars with internal combustion engines will have a central tunnel design.
Electric Volvo XC90 will appear in several versions, which differ in the capacity of batteries. The top-end model will drive a maximum of 500 kilometers on a single charge.
The premiere demonstration of XC90 will take place next year, and the car sales will be held in the first quarter of 2023.
