1 Million EV Volvo Sales by 2025

The automaker stated a goal to market the minimum of a million EV by 025. As you see, the target is rather ambitious. However, it will be a challenge. Volvo wishes to be at the front of electrification.

The automaker reveals that it will output the minimum of two hybrid variants of every vehicle in the range. A completely electric car will appear by 2019.

All of the cars from the Swedish brand are developed on two different scalable platforms. Both of the platforms can incorporate hybrid or EV technology. Big vehicles feature the SPA (Scalable Product Architecture) and small vehicles are designed on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture).

Volvo calls the movement “omtanke.” This Swedish word means “caring” or “consideration”. Volvo is going to have climate neutral operations by 2025. By 2020 35% of the company’s position will be occupied by women. The most important announcement is that no deaths or serious injuries will occur by 2020.
