Film about VW Diesel Scandal
Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company and Paramount Pictures secured the rights to shoot a film on the VW diesel scandal.
Their film will come out from the book which will be written by a journalist. He works for New York Times. His name is Jack Ewing. Appian Way, the actor’s production company, has received an option for the rights. The book will describe how better and faster ethos led to the one of the hugest frauds in corporate history.
We remind you, that last month the automaker confirmed using a cheating device. It has done it in order to cheat the EPA diesel emissions tests. It was found out that the company’s vehicles pollute almost 40 times more nitrogen oxide than it is allowed.
According to the information we have got, the book will be completed by the end of the next year. DiCaprio will probably be the film’s producer. Marly Rusoff, an agent of the journalist, assured that publisher W.W. Norton & Company will pay a six-figure sum for the book rights.
