Bulli ' s 70th Anniversary: VW Multivan Special Edition
Yes, this is not a concept!
The automaker’s Geneva stand is oriented at its electric future. However, the brand does not forget about its past. Almost 70 years ago the successful Transporter started its history with a sketch of a cat type that was a first-one of its kind. It was developed by Ben Pon, a Dutch VW importer. He attended the Wolfsburg factory and found an interesting car there. It was the Plattenwagen that inspired him.
VW Commercial Vehicles has presented 70 Years of Bulli special edition at this year’s motor show held in Geneva. The unit is a combination of the classic retro design and the modern quality. The car originates on the newest gen Transporter in Comfortline trim. It was painted in a two-tone, yellow-white colour and has chrome wheels.
As to the cabin, it boasts tinted windows, stainless steel inserts and Bulli lettering. The seats are wrapped in Visitamo leather upholstery and the floor features a colour-matching Dark Wood covering. You will also find a Premium multifunction display, a multifunction leather helm and an instrument dash framed in decorative Black glossy.
The company is going to take orders for the van since May in Germany. However, we don’t know yet when Europe will see the unit.
