Tesla S Receives Fresh Service and Warranty Details
Tesla CEO Elon Musk informed about fresh service and warranty details today for the Model S EV keepers, which features a free of charge Model S loan when their vehicles are in for service and an absolute warranty on the model’s battery set.
Trying to provide customers additional convenience, Tesla will give Model S owners with a free Model S loaner vehicle if their personal model ever needs for repairs. Those loaner cars will be top-trim Model S EVs, while customers interested in getting a Tesla Roadster rather than the Model S will be allowed to do so if one is free.
Fresh valet system makes the service experience even easier, which will pickup and drop off your Model S when it demands repairs.
Moreover, fresh warranty is being provided for Model S keepers. “Except in the cases of a collision, opening of the battery set by non-Tesla staff or intentional abuse (setting the pack on fire with a blowtorch is not mentioned!), all damage is covered by warranty, featuring improper maintenance or unintentionally leaving the set at a low level of charge for years on end,” wrote Elon Musk in a press release.
Tesla will change the battery if it is found to be deficient and substitute it with a reconditioned product with energy storage equal to or bigger than what the original battery set could handle. Also part of the new program, Tesla advices that each Model S come in for at least one annual general service check, though it now does not influence the warranty if the client doesn’t honor that suggestion.
